BACK FROM OH-IO

Hello everyone,

We spent the weekend in Ohio and kept out cute grandson with us at the hotel overnight. He is such a happy baby he "talks" coos, smiles, giggles and then laughs. When he needs he diaper changed or has decided he is hungry he lets out this "pretend cry." As if to say "Hello I need something." He loves being on his stomach and when you have him on his back he just rolls right over to his stomach.

He really loves his Grandpa he thinks he is really really funny. I was having "G-ma" time and Michael was in the shower we were having a wonderful time laughing, gigglying and playing the kissing game. Then Michael came out of the shower and Elijah saw him and he was "done" with me. He rolled towards Michael and was reaching out and grinning from ear to ear.

We also spent time with Jessica Derek, Brent and Dave of course we had to have dinner at China Dynasty and see our Ohio friends Steve and his wife. Steve was very nice and made us a specialty appetizer of oysters and lots of spicy yummy stuff all over. He also went straight to the kitchen and made Nicholas chicken strips and fries and later out came the hot dogs. They are very good people. Brent had the calamari he said it tasted good but was really chewy. (I agree)

Then on Monday everyone was off to school, work except Brent so we went out to the buffalo ranch with Brent too and bought yummy buffalo to bring back. Brent bought tongue, liver, heart and even testicles and will be getting on the internet to see how to cook it and drive his mother nuts.

Everyone is doing good up there and it was good to see everyone but it is COLD and I was happy to get back to sunny Tennessee. It was 36 degrees (felt like 20) in Ohio we made the drive and as soon as we crossed the Tennessee line from Kentucky the temperature rose to 54! On the way up to Ohio we went out of our way and drove throught a mile long tunnel and went to Cumberland Gap and stood in Kentucky and Virginia at the same time. So I have got to add Virginia to my list of states and was amazed once again that you can be in 4 states in one 6 hour drive!

Love you all!
